Flash floods are generally unexpected events that tend to cause severe disruptions and catastrophic damage to affected areas. The requirement of having a deployment device that is fast, portable, and durable against the water current and debris but yet affordable is the biggest challenge encountered these days. Flash floods can happen within few minutes after a downpour, and even sooner if paired with poor infrastructure. For this, it is hard to predict where and when such an incident will occur. Often, the most immediate solution would be sand bags.

The PlaxiGuard is the solution that we at iMagic-Box have developed. The PlaxiGuard is a flood control barrier that alleviates all the issues that come with using sand bags, thereby providing a more effective means of flood control. It’s been designed using lightweight materials and allows for modular assembly to allow a person to carry and assemble it according to their needs. It is designed to be a free-standing flood control barrier without the need for any additional attachments or pre-installation design. By letting the weight of the water itself to do the work, the PlaxiGuard attaches firmly to the ground without using any bolts or screws. This allows it to be immediately assembled in crucial locations, even while flood water is flowing as each unit has interlocking mechanisms at both ends which form a seamless barrier that is completely watertight. This invention helps provide swift and immediate aid to individuals as the first line of defense in protecting their homes, families, and communities from the dangers of flash floods.
